Lakers Center Kwame Brown had his injured knee examined by team Doctor Steve Lombardo Monday. The MRI showed that Brown has suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee. He will be sidelined indefinitely.
Brown left Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls three minutes into the first quarter after colliding with Ben Wallace and going down in a heap. He had to be helped off the court and did not return.
Brown will be re-evaluated in a week.
