There are three things upon which the Lakers need to focus in order to exact revenge on a Heat team that beat L.A. on Dec. 19 in Miami when Kobe Bryant’s game-tying shot rimmed out:
1) Do a better job of handling the Heat’s post defense, which aggressively and effectively fronted – and disturbed – Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum in Miami.
2) Exploit Miami’s “blitz” defense in which they pop out quickly to double-team on the screen and roll.
3) Keep the Heat, and Dwyane Wade in particular, off the free throw line.
