From once being under the same ownership group, to sharing the Forum and now being co-tenants at STAPLES Center and practicing in the same facility, the Lakers will always be linked together in LA’s sports culture with the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion, Los Angeles Kings.
On Friday in Philadelphia though, the team had some unexpected visitors from the world of hockey when Calgary Flames defenseman Jiri Hudler jumped onto the hardwood in full pads. The 30-year old Czech got some free throws up with player development coach Larry Lewis.
