We broke down some of the more intriguing numbers from LAL’s 134-126 loss at Denver:
Points for Kenneth Faried – a career high – to go along with 13 rebounds and three steals. He made 14 of his 20 field goals, with nine of his makes coming from within five feet or less, according to NBA.com/stats.
Assists for Kendall Marshall, plus eight points and three boards. It was Marshall’s fourth double-digit assist effort in the last five contests and the eighth time he’s dished at least 14 dimes in his career (seven coming in 2014).
Plus-rating for Robert Sacre, a team high. He tallied eight points and eight rebounds and was part of a bench unit that totaled 68 points and helped give the Lakers a brief lead in the second quarter.
Rebounds for Ryan Kelly – a career high – in 33 minutes off the bench. Kelly also added 24 points (7 of 14 field goals, 4 of 8 three-pointers, 6 of 6 free throws) for his first career double-double.
Three-pointers made for Ty Lawson towards 30 points, 17 assists (tied a career high) and four rebounds. Since returning from a rib injury that cost him nine games, Lawson is averaging 27.0 points, 11.7 dimes, 4.7 boards and 2.0 steals on 56.0 percent field goals and 62.5 percent on three’s.
